LIFE’S TOO SHORT

FAQ

Any pre tattoo tips?

Make sure you are well rested, well hydrated, and have eaten recently. Aside from that, take a shower, charge your phone or tablet up to full and free yourself up for the day, as sessions can sometimes take a little longer then scheduled.

Are Tattoos Safe?

As long as you go to a reputable artist that is following all recommended safety precautions, getting a tattoo is perfectly safe. Make sure you’re fully honest about any medical conditions.

Does It Hurt?

Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain. We’re not going to kid you, though – it does hurt. Just not that much. Some have compared it to a “hot scratching feeling”. But, people would not be returning again and again for tattoo after tattoo if it hurt that bad! Most of us are not into pain, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride associated with wearing it far outweighs a little pin-stick here and there.

How Much Is It Going to Cost?

When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are plenty of people tattooing out there that will tattoo you cheaper, but you’ll be crying to a real artist to have it covered up.

You should check out our work and look for quality, this is not a bargain bin, it is a piece of art you will wear for life.

Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

Tipping is a really nice gesture! But there are no real solid ground rules for tipping, although we do really appreciate it.

Is It OK to Get a Tattoo if I'm Sick?

Getting a tattoo when your immune system isn’t at 100% isn’t a good idea. You’re going to need your strength and your white blood cells to heal your tattoo, something your body won’t be able to do if it’s already doing battle against a virus or bacteria. It’s best to contact your artist and explain the situation.

Is Tanning OK When You Have Tattoos?

It might be really tempting to get some rays during the summer months or hit up the tanning salon without cream or protection, but unfortunately this will reduce the vibrancy if your tattoo.

Can I bring a friend?

It’s important to ask your artist if it’s ok and please don’t be offended if they say no, as they might find it distracting and they certainly need there full concentration to do their job.

What should I wear for my session?

It’s more important to be comfortable than to be fashionable. Looser is better than tighter, and keep in mind you want to be able to cover up certain places, depending on where you’re getting your tattoo.

Why do you require a deposit?

Often we will have hours of work in drawing and preparing for a tattoo before you sit down in our chair. Deposits help to ensure you make it to your appointment and that we haven’t done hours of work for nothing.

How can I pay for my tattoo?

Be warned, we are a cash studio, but there are plenty of bank machines right beside us.

What are your opening hours?

We are open to the general public 7 days a week 12pm to 6pm.

But we can also arrange after hour sessions. This is only at the artists discretion though.
